Dia de los Muertos

Dia de los Muertos means Day of the Dead. It is 2-3 days in the beginning of November when families remember and honor their loved ones who have passed away. They often decorate alters with marigolds, pictures, candles, sugar skulls, and possessions of their loved ones. Skulls are the most common symbol for Dia de los Muertos. Sugar Skulls are decorated with colorful frostings. Their loved ones' graves are also decorated with possessions. It is one of the biggest holidays celebrated in Mexico.
